So the great thing about this protein ice cream recipe is that not only is it completely clean, it can easily be changed to low carb, and can be made with or without an ice cream maker 🙂
The ingredients are so simple:
- 2 x Bananas
- 4 x scoop Protein (I used hydra 6 because the 50% whey/casein makes for better consistency)
- 1 tsp Xanthan gum
- A tray of Ice cubes
The one I made in these pictures I used my ice cream maker (for best results) It has a lovely consistency just like normal ice cream and the banana/chocolate is super tasty. Just blend all the ingredients and whack in the maker for 20-25 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
Macros per serving: 112 kcal | 1g Fat | 17g Carbs | 12.5g Protein
To make the version without the ice cream maker, you will need to go for the lower carb option and replace the bananas with banana flavour drops. Just use 2 scoop protein powder and still the tsp Xanthan gum as this option wont freeze so you will need to eat straight away.
